Artist Spotlight

What does life look like in Nashville through the eyes of a singer-songwriter that is just getting started in a town, nicknamed a 'ten-year town'? It looks like you need to meet some people to write with, those that can encircle you, push you and help you create what you see, help you tell your story, in your words, your way. It looks like building friendships, and playing music, a bit like work but with a little fun. That is what I heard when I recently spoke with Blaine Bunting. Blaine is a singer-songwriter in Nashville, chasing his dreams from outside of Savannah, Georgia to the Country Music Capital of the World, the ten-year town where you fight like crazy to be noticed, a city full of musical talent and singing dreams. I think every career takes ten years to build skills, self-taught or educated, but Music City has gained that title and brought comfort to its seekers with it. Songwriting is a mystery to me; where do you start, where does the story go, and who it is about?

Blaine made it sound easy because he's found his niche, and found a team of people to do just that. This team of writers and friends knows how to fill in the gaps and drive an idea to completion. Blaine said his favorite part is being on stage, making a difference to someone else through his stories in songs or sometimes in someone else's song that he performs instead. He plays music on Broadway at Legends Corner a couple of times a week, AJ's Good Time Bar, and Music City Bar and Grill, all with a full band. After his move to Nashville, Blaine Bunting and his long-time friend Justin Dukes were playing an acoustic show together and a man approached him offering him a frontman position liking his style and sound and thought he would be a good fit in their band. You can hear them at the above locations throughout the week.

I have learned that artists can find the most creative ways to record music, Blaine Bunting recorded the vocals to his first song sitting in a tent made of quilts in the middle of an apartment. The quilts were a great sound barrier to the outside noise and were useful in the absorption of extra sound for the recording to be successful. Blaine Bunting has a couple of songs currently on digital platforms, he's recorded them independently and is trying to do more in 2023. Jarrett Hartness and Justin Dukes wrote a song that Blaine will soon be releasing on all digital platforms. Stay Tuned

Thank you for your time and conversation, Blaine!

Kaleb King has kicked off his album release with a single that I would best describe as the emotional meaning of a relationship complete with a lyrical country twist. “Cuttin’ Onions” is Kaleb’s first release after a brief hiatus as a full-time musician. His last released song, Pieces of my Mind was released in 2019. Cuttin’ Onions, written with Adam Schwind and Adam Hood has had a great response so far surpassing the collective responses from previous music. Kaleb King is an independent Georgia-grown country singer and with the steel guitar singing through the lyrics, Cuttin’ Onions is no exception to his traditional music style. Kaleb King sings in collaboration with Adam Hood on this song and reminds us that country songs aren’t all ballads and sorrow, instead this one gives a ‘2 steppin' in a dance hall’ kind of vibe.

During his brief break, Kaleb kept himself busy supporting his family while his wife finished nursing school. In the chaos of the last few years, it seems that it was good timing for a musician to write songs and collaborate with other musicians, whether by zoom or in person. Kaleb used that opportunity to expand his craft, he traveled back and forth to some Nashville writing rooms, wrote a lot of songs, and created this collection of music. Reid Haughton and Dustin Herring also wrote songs with Kaleb King that will release in this collection as well.

Stay tuned, after a few singles, the entire album is due out in late Spring 2023.

Thank you, Kaleb (and youngest daughter), for entertaining me while we chatted about your career and musical doings. Be blessed.

The founder of Legend Recording, Chris Bianchi is a worldwide artist manager and music entrepreneur, best known for work in rock and heavy metal. Legend Recordings currently has 100 million streams/views for the combined artists in the rock and heavy metal music genres under that label family. Recently, Bianchi launched a country music sub-label of Legend Recordings- Legend Nashville. The first artist on the expansion is Ohio-native singer/songwriter, Trae Myers.

Trae Myers is building a fan base in Ohio and the Northeast since he's been playing some larger events. In October, Trae was a supporting artist in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio for Chase Matthew at a sold-out show. Trae Myers has also shared the stage with many artists such as Kane Brown, Walker Hayes, Russell Dickerson, and Tyler Rich. Trae released his first single Wildfire in 2018. As with most artists, you don't hear much about them on a public scale until they’ve had 10 or so years in their craft. This scenario is no different for Trae Myers.

Trae Myers released What About You as the first single with Legend Nashville and it is complete with a music video.

Trae Myers will continue touring into 2023 and the concert dates will be updated on his website.
